A Question about Being in Two Places at Once!
Saturday, September 23rd, 2006Here’s a great question from a friend of mine:
Hi - this is a great question, and something that has puzzled me quite a bit! My best understanding is that we are all fragments of a larger soul, which is in itself a fragment of a larger soul, etc. Or I suppose all fragments of God, or whatever. So, in tuning into the other side, I’m apparently reaching some piece or part or fragment that has the consciousness (so to speak) of the fragment from that last lifetime (Uncle Joe, let’s say) but who may well have reincarnated already to become someone new. Meanwhile, in my understanding, we don’t reincarnate as just the exact same piece - so Uncle Joe and Dad and Betty might all reincarnate to become baby Sally, but Uncle Joe doesn’t come back as exactly Uncle Joe from last time!
Now, that being said, I have many times tuned into people that were already reincarnated, and they definitely “feel” differently to me! I can get some info, like what they were like in this lifetime, etc., but it’s still not the same as the ones who appear to still be in Spirit.
Just to complicate matters, apparently all time is concurrent in all the other dimensions; only we have a linear view of time. Therefore, the other way to look at this is that there isn’t a Here and a There, meaning a time line of lives so that one is here today, in Spirit tomorrow and in the next life on Monday - but all are existing in the same moment, so if I tune in to the deceased one, it’s the same as tuning in to the live one! This also makes sense to me, because I literally can’t tell if someone is alive or dead most of the time; they feel exactly the same. Well, if that Soul is just always alive, and just living in different dimensions, then it WOULD feel the same to me, right? Which could also be why it seems like they’re dead, but already reincarnated, but able to be “read” by a psychic. And of course, when I read people’s past lives, I just see them as so many movies, one right after the other, and one influencing the other. Indeed, everything seems to indicate that what you do in one lifetime, say right now, has a direct effect on your other lives. Well, that would really make the most sense it they were concurrent.
I’ve also regressed to another lifetime that I could tell was concurrent with this one - it was pretty amazing, actually! I was with my teacher in this lifetime, Bob, and he regressed me in a meditation to a lifetime in Egypt. Well, in that very moment in the Egyptian lifetime, my husband was putting me into a meditation. I was a Priestess in the Temple, and the husband was a Priest, and that husband in that lifetime was Bob from this lifetime! Right in that very moment, where I was lying on a bed in Salem, Mass. with Bob at my side monitoring the meditation, the husband who was Bob’s soul in that lifetime was monitoring the meditation of the Egyptian me lying on a bed in Egypt! Meannwhile, that woman came thru to Bob in this lifetime, in the room in Massachusetts, and started speaking in Egyptian to him! And apparently I went and spoke English to the husband! Well, it got crazier and crazier, as Bob tried to get the woman to speak English, etc., and meanwhile, a third part of my consciousness was aware of everything that was going on! Talk about an amazing thing! But it’s always proven to me the concurrent lifetime theory.
Well, that’s about the best I can do - I think it’s all about as clear as mud! Apparently our little brains can’t really grasp the whole reality of it all, though, which is why there are so many religious and spiritual opinions on these matters.
