Question about Crossroads

Here’s an interesting question from Canada:

Hi Debra

 I came to your web site and wanted to ask you this question.
 Have you ever come to a cross road in your life. Meaning, I cannot seem to get away from this no matter what I do I end up at the cross roads and not able to proceed forward.

I think that often we have a destiny or fate type of thing, that brings us to a certain reality that we absolutely have to deal with. If you don’t go forward with it one way, it’ll come back to be dealt with some other way. I believe we create all these things ourselves, though, either at the Soul level or by our thoughts and beliefs. I don’t believe there is some outside force, God or whatever, that “makes” things happen to us.

So in other words, if you keep coming to the same crossroads, it’s because some part of you knows it’s the only thing you can do at this point in your life to grow and evolve.

So don’t try to avoid it - just plow through it somehow, you have to get to what’s on the other side!

Another Dream Question

A client of mine, John, has written me the following letter:

I had a dream last week that was very strange.

I am walking down a street, with every step my stride gets longer and longer, until finally it appears like I am floating. Then I started hopping and got higher and higher, until it appeared that I was above the clouds, I was TERRIFIED !!!

I then  woke up, I remember opening my eyes, but I was NOT tired at all. I was fully awake, as I opened my eyes, I knew exactly where I was.

Hi John - I think this is definitely a dream that was a result of being out of your body. For whatever reason, you were sort of half in/half out so you had some experience of the floating and being above the clouds, but you were conscious enough to be terrified - if you were completely “out” you wouldn’t have felt any fear. And coming back not tired, to me, just is proof that you were actually doing something that can be very exhilarating! I think most times that we’re out of the body, we come back feeling fine. It’s just those times when we’re doing “work”, like trying to work on serious problems or we have health issues, etc., that we wake up so tired afterwards. At least that’s my experience!

I think it’s good news, it’s proving that you’re working on your stuff, and developing more of your abilities as an evolving Old Soul!

Question about Dreams

A client wrote me recently with a question about a dream:

Dear Debbie: Thank you for your insight you have been such a wonderful mentor. I had a question if you might be able to help me. I have had a dream with an old friend in it who I am sure is still alive and well but I feel he is giving me a message . Could he be entering as his higher self to contact me or may it be that the spirits are trying to give me a message about him or his family??? Trying to sort it out at times is so hard. Just thought I would ask. Thank you for your time.

Hi - 99% of the time, anyone in our dream is a symbol or representative of some aspect of ourselves. So if this is someone you respect, for example, that part of you is trying to give you information that you will pay attention to. On the other hand, if he was known for his “BS” then you would know that some part of you is trying to BS you!

Of course, it can be his Higher Self visiting yours, and the information being given to you is filtering down from your Higher Self to your conscious mind thru your dreams.

In the end, it really doesn’t matter - as my Guides are always telling me, it’s not about the messenger, it’s all about the message! (Which is why they’ve never told me their names, etc.) So, in other words, what is the information telling you? Is it something that feels right? Do you recognize that you would be wise to heed what it’s saying? It’s sort of like having a reading - you need to use your best judgment and then, act accordingly.

Thank you for your insight. I had another dream last night and I am seeing the message . It makes more sense now.
