Question about Readings

Here’s a recent question I received:

Hi Debbie I have yet another question, do you ask questions first or do the angels and guides directlty start to answer my questins with just one 1st question? Also how long do you think necesary since last reading I just had a reader tell me I have had to many and will not read for me until some time takes place with out readings, I have recently done about 4 readings a nd 2 spells. Thank you.

Hi - I talk first and tell you everything I’m getting from Spirit before you ask any questions. Then we can go into whatever you like; if you’re doing a shorter reading, it’s helpful to let me know if there’s something really important that you want to cover, so we don’t run out of time.

Generally, I tell people to wait 3 to 6 months between readings; if you have too many too often, you’ll not only get potentially conflicting information, but also, you’re likely becoming too dependent on the answers of others instead of using your own judgment. I’d have to say, you’ve probably received all you should for now, you really ought to just digest and assimilate the information you’ve already gotten, and wait to see how your life unfolds for awhile. A great question about Law of Attraction

Hi Debbie,

I have a question regarding the Law of Attraction. I am having a relationship with a man that I love but there are things about him that indicate he may not be my ‘Mr. Right’. Is it okay to continue to be with him but still be open to - and - continue to ask the Universe to send me my ‘Mr. Right.’ It sounds kind of silly, but I’m just wondering if the Universe will still look for my ‘Mr. Right’ while I’m having a relationship with possibly ‘Mr. Not Right’. I wonder if I have to be totally alone and not be dating anyone to have the Universe send me my ‘Mr. Right’. If the Universe thinks I’m happy dating the possibly ‘Mr. Not Right’ will it still look for and send me my ‘Mr. Right’? I feel silly asking this question but I really would like to know the answer.

Great Question! There used to be a commercial that said “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature”. The way I see it, you’re trying to fool, or manipulate, the Universe. You’re asking the Universe (or your Self) to ignore what you’re DOING and just go with your wish - whereas, what you’re DOING is also activating a certain vibration. The vibration of seeing Mr. Wrong, or Mr. Right Now, is that you are settling for less, you deserve less, you are putting up with things that don’t suit you, you are not respecting your own desires, etc. See what I mean? What on earth will the Universe give you back, as a matching vibration? Mr. Perfect? How could it? You are not a match to that! You are being - or vibrating - at a level that says you don’t deserve any better than this, that your innermost desires are not worthy of being met. The Universe can only return to you that which you are. You reap what you sow - the boomerang will come back to you exactly as you threw it out there.

In another analogy, we are giving our order to the waitress or waiter and asking the Chef to make for us, and bring us what we want. So do we ask that person for a perfectly cooked steak, just the way we like it, with all the trimmings, exactly as ordered? Or do we say just bring me whatever’s on hand, half-cooked, partly spoiled, dropped on the floor a few times first? Hey, don’t even bother putting it on a plate, just slap it down in front of me, that’s good enough.

You decide…but just remember, the proof is always in the pudding. What you HAVE, right now this minute, is exactly what you ARE. Your vibration, what you’re thinking, doing and feeling, is exactly manifested in everything in your life right now. Whatever you THINK you want doesn’t really matter, because what you REALLY want is exactly what you’ve received and manifested. If it were otherwise, you’d change, right? There’s no way to cheat the Universe. If you truly don’t like the life you have right this minute, you must change your vibration to receive anything different.

What about spells?

I had an interesting question posted on my classified ad on Ebay:

Q: Debra What is the difference between a dark art spell or reader and a white light ?? Do you also cast spells? Thank you.

Hi - I have absolutely no knowledge of spells or the dark arts. I’m a New Age practitioner, which generally means that I take full responsbility for what I put out there - therefore, I feel it’s imperative that it be positive, loving, helpful, healing, etc. Again, generally speaking people who work with, or use white light are using it as a loving representation or symbol of good, positive healing energy. In my personal philosophy, what you sow is what you reap, so it pays to only sow the most positive and loving thoughts and actions, because that’s what you’ll receive! If you’re using a spell or prayer or any action to manipulate, force, persuade or convince someone to do something, in a way that’s not loving, you’d better be prepared for the consequences! I always ask people to judge it by asking themselves: Would you feel comfortable telling that other person about the spell you’ve put on them? If not, it’s probably not a good idea!
