Will Money Ruin Your Relationship?

As you know, my relationship with F. is very difficult, and for me, it stems from him not making enough money. It’s just always an issue, and I’m about ready to lose it with him, and I’m really wondering if I should stay in this relationship or not!

Dear N.

I don’t think you need to negate that the finances are important, but rather, that you have to decide if that’s a dealbreaker. That’s when you realize that yes, you could end up with someone with more money but perhaps other issues you can’t stand.

So then it becomes, hopefully, just another challenge for two people who love each other in their relationship to resolve, together, as a united team, rather than at odds, head to head with each other.

Would you rather focus on blame and he’s lacking, or we are solving our problem together? Remember, whatever you focus on, you get more of!

What about Curses?

Here’s a letter I recently received, and my response - I think many people wonder about this!

Dear Debbie:

I am writing this with a bit of confusion.

I am wondering if you believe in curses? If so, are you able to lift them or guide someone to break free of them?
I ask because someone in my family told me that they placed a curse on me and that I will suffer under it unless I get a specific crystal to lift it. (Actually, I was told I have 2 on me).

I thought that this person was crazy, but everyone remarks that I have the worst luck of anyone they have ever met. I have to admit, it is true and for years now life has been so hard! I am beginning to think I truly do have a curse on me and my husband is convinced.

Is a curse possible?? If so, are you able to schedule time with me to discuss what I must do?

Hi Shelly - I happen to believe the exact opposite! LOL! While I think it’s true that we can project negative or positive energy onto others, I firmly believe and know that WE create OUR OWN reality - it’s our own response to whatever comes at us, that makes things happen.

I’m a teacher (and student) of the Law of Attraction, and I strongly urge you to become familiar with this principle. Just this past weekend, I taught a 3 hour seminar on this very subject! But you can go to www.abraham-hicks.com, or www.lawofattractionbook.com, to find out more information for free. You can get books from the library on it, or go to any bookstore. I also have a cd that I’ve made, and have a few others for sale that I recommend.

Of course, you can also come to see me! I’ll be happy to teach you about it, and also in a reading can give you more information about what is going on in your life, and why. It’s easy enough to fix it, and frankly, using crystals is not the way. (Crystals are conductors of energy, so you don’t need to have more “flow” of bad vibes right now!)

But no, I don’t believe in curses. If you’re having bad luck, you have to stop believing that it’s true! Whatever we focus on, we get more of, so stop focusing on the bad stuff and start focusing on the good stuff in your life! Today is a great day to start being grateful - it’s the fastest way to change a negative vibration. Send blessings and loving thoughts to whoever might have “cursed” you, it’s an effective blocker of negative energy (which is all a curse is, just like prayers for people are positive energy - we all send both, all the time, it’s just the way people think.)

A Flower Story

Here’s a letter from a client of mine who’s son is in Spirit, and she often receives signs and messages from him:

Debbie,

I thought you would enjoy this story. My husband filled pots with soil getting ready in the early spring to plant something in them. He never did, but moved the pots in the back of the garage. I wandered back there and mind you there is absolutely nothing back there but grass. I looked and thought how wonderful one huge pot was filled with daisies growing in it. The pot was huge and the daisies all in bloom. I told him the pot of daisies was wonderful what a great idea, where did he ever find the daisies.

He looked at me and said what daisies, what was I talking about. I took him to see the huge pot of daisies he said he never planted any and we have no wild daisies growing around the yard.

I guess I know who planted the daisies, Michael.

Nice Feedback

One of the cool things about my radio appearances on the Ted & Amy show is the feedback we receive - or don’t receive! It’s SO nice when someone says I’m right on, or they know what I’m referring to, etc., when tuning in to their departed loved ones. When we don’t get that feedback, or if someone doesn’t know what I’m talking about, it’s really hard to take! Here’s a nice comment that I got in an email recently:

“Your last reading for me was helpful–not so much for what you predicted but because I thought you tuned in empathically to me–one bit of advice I use all the time. You were right on. Also, I want you to know that I called you once when you were on Ted and Amy. We were talking about my dad, and you asked if his death was unexpected because he seemed “dizzy.” I said no (which was true)–but as soon as I hung up, I realized what you were getting: he had had a head injury.”

So keep that feedback coming!

Sometimes You Have to Think About it!

I received this nice letter from a client after she had her phone reading:

Hi - I just wanted to say thank you for the reading last week. I found many helpful insights.

I also came to the realization the other day that the older woman with the golden retriever-looking dog who came through was NOT my grandmother Shirley- it was my best friend’s mom Sandy. i just did not expect to hear from her, even though I ask my friend to ask her mom to help me all the time. I am glad to know she listens!!! So is my friend.

Now my friend is interested in having a reading done too, because she thinks that her mom coming through to me was a sign for her to get in contact too. I will forward your contact info to her so she can try to set something up. She is a wonderful person and misses her mom a lot. It was definitely Sandy who came though to me, and it just took me a while for it to dawn on me that an older woman on my side did not necessarily mean one of my grandmothers! I can see how the more input you get from a client the more accurate the reading, and that even we can’t fully understand the messages right away.

It’s always important to keep an open mind when having a reading, especially when receiving messages from The Other Side - often, we have someone in mind that we’d like to contact, or that recently passed, and don’t recognize someone else who might be coming through instead. Even though I’ve been doing this for many years, I still don’t understand why some loved ones come through, and others don’t, or why some are so easy to receive and understand while others are not. I’m just grateful that stories like this one happen so often, and people do realize that ALL their loved ones are listening, watching, and still loving us from Heaven.

What About Prayers?

Here is a letter that I recently received from a new client:

Hi, Debbie, I wanted to ask you a question about my appointment tomorrow at 4:30. Do you open with a prayer of protection? One of my friends told me this is crucial. Thanks, J.

I answered:

Dear J. -

It’s not crucial, but yes, I always do a prayer in my mind beforehand. My prayer is for guidance and gratitude, which is a much better vibration for opening a reading! Attitude and intention are much more important; if you are fearful, you draw to you the negative, and if you’re positive and trusting, you draw to you the positive. People doing things out of fear (such as a prayer of protection) are actually causing themselves more trouble, because what you focus upon, you attract and manifest. So if you’re focused on bad things happening, then that’s what’s likely to happen!

If you’re unhappy without a prayer of “protection” (against what? Me? Cooties? LOL!) then you can always do one yourself before coming to my house. I really hope that you will come to the reading with an open mind and a positive vibration, so that you will cause yourself to have a reading that’s pleasing to you.

Talking to the Other Side

Sometimes it’s so important to make contact with the other side - I did a phone reading tonight for a woman whose father had passed 7 years ago, and she was carrying a heavy burden of guilt since then. Here’s her response to the reading she received and the information I was able to give her from her father:

“Dear Debbie, I just wanted to thank you for tonight. I feel so much at peace with myself now that i know my father is not angry with me. I had been beating myself over that for the past 7 yrs!!..

“Hi Debbie , I just wanted to thank you so much for the reading I received on Jan. 14th it was amazing and very helpful! You were exactly right about my love life situation and I am so much more at peace with the decision I made. We actually broke up before I had my reading which I didn’t tell you and now we are completely over for good! As hard as it is right now and as much as it hurts I know its for the best and my future will be much better with someone else. I was exactly like his mother which is what you told me, and nothing was changing with him growing up any further. It felt so much better just to hear it from you that this was what the rest of my life would be like with him which I already knew deep down. So I can’t wait for the future and to see if I meet my Mr right by July which is what you saw coming for me. I am so hopeful that it will come true and I will be sure to come back to see you before summer ends. Thank you again so much and your great at what you do! ;)”

Great Law of Attraction Question!

I received this question today from a client:

Hi Debbie,
I bought the book Law of Attraction. I have been reading it, but am feeling a little unsettled about it. I believe in God, are they saying that God isn’t involved in our daily lives and we are the only ones guiding us.
I really respect your opinion and have been very unnerved because I feel I am having a hard time with my thoughts. I worry that if I feel something negative it will come my way. I realize I am being irrational but things are hard enough with the thought that God may not be with me.
Could you give me some insight so I can relax.
Thank you for your time!!

Hi - no, I think what they’re saying is that we are partners with God - so He’s helping us, but we’re not just helpless little lumps of clay waiting for an outside force to make things happen. We’re a part of that creative force, so that WITH God’s help, we’re an unbeatable team! Basically, they say that we’re not separate from God, but it feels like that because we have physical bodies that are separate beings. But it’s like if you took a glass of water from a lake and set it on a table. It would forget that it was once part of the bigger energy (the water) and think it was all alone, but if you just took away the glass and put the water back in the lake, it would realize that it was all the same energy force. So, if God is the lake water, and we’re a glass of that water, we’re still all part of the bigger picture, but we’ve lost sight of the fact that being in a separate vessel (a human body) doesn’t really mean we’re not a part of the same God energy.

So - rest easy. God is MORE with you in this philosophy than in any others I’ve learned about. In so many others, God is separate from us, all wise and all knowing, and we’re the poor dumb meatheads that haven’t a clue, so we’d better follow all the rules just right or we’ll be punished. This way of thinking about it makes so much more sense - that if we’re made in God’s image, then we have power, too! If Jesus said what he did, we can do too, this makes it really believable! Our thoughts create our reality, because God gives us that power, and God’s right at our side helping it to work!

In one of the Abraham lectures, I heard them say that they don’t use the word God very much, because we humans have so much old thinking attached to it, but that in reality, everything they’re talking about IS about God.

I’m glad you asked that question, because I think you can have a very joyous and fulfilling relationship with God, using this philosophy. Let me know how you’re doing!
