To: DebbieC1953@hotmail.com

Hi -

You just did a reading for me a couple of weeks ago and have been doing them for me for 12 years.  I trust and value your insight!

I have a question.  I am attaching a picture I just took of one of our cats in the past two weeks.  In the picture, I see what looks like an orb to me (it is on the upper part of the purple curtain behind our cat).  I have taken pictures in the past where orbs have appeared, but they have never been in my own house.  I wondered if you could tell me first, if this is an orb and second who it might be if it is.

I do not want to take advantage of you so I am happy to pay whatever you would charge to tell me this if you can.

As always, I appreciate your time -

Patti B.

Cornelius, NC

Hi Patti – while I admit I’m not an expert on orbs, I do feel that your picture is of an orb, and that it is a Spirit Guide, rather than a family member. I feel that there was something going on that day that made the conditions ripe for you to get that orb in the picture – whether it was weather conditions or the energies from the people and animals, I’m not sure. In other words, my best understanding is that we could have pictures of them more often if we knew that certain conditions make it easier for them to appear on film. They are always around, so it’s just a matter of “right time and place” that we see them or capture them in a picture.

I’m sure if you google “orbs” you’ll find more information – keep taking pictures and see if certain spots in the house, times of day, weather conditions, etc., make any difference in what you get. A psychic I know has them out in the hallway outside her office, and in her office, quite often, but only recently thought to take pictures of them!

How Positive Thinking Works!

This is an excerpt from one of the newsletters I get from the Abraham website (www.Abraham-Hicks.com).  What it’s saying is whatever positive thing you focus on, helps to bring you every positive thing you might be wanting. So if you’re wanting good health, you can focus on a pretty day, or wanting more money, you can imagine being at a party. You don’t have to think of money to get money; it’s all about how you’re feeling, not what you’re thinking. That’s why if you’re complaining or whining about traffic or politics or the job, you’ll have health or money or relationship problems. It’s the feeling, not the thoughts, that counts.

Abraham:

When you start taking the pleasure in the envisioning, you’ve got it.

In other words, what we want you to do is peruse the data, identify

what isn’t wanted, identify what is wanted, take all of that data and

conclude and choose, and as you do a little bit here – collect data

here, here, here, here, the Nonphysical Energy of the Universe has

heard you make a lot of statements about a lot of things, and as you

are vibrationally projecting Energy about nice people and about

beautiful things and about friendly animals and about good flowing

traffic and about happy comfortable clothes and about beautiful

surroundings and about good food and about delicious relationships. ..as

you’re projecting this, here and here and here… You’re standing in

line in the post office basking in the deliciousness of something.

You’re driving in your car basking in the deliciousness of something.

Sitting on an airplane basking in the deliciousness of it.

Every time you achieve that mental imagery, you vibrate there, just for

a little bit, which means the Universe sees that as you. Your point of

attraction begins to shift again and again and again and again as your

Well-being is known not only to you but the entire Universe — you

begin emitting such a vibration of Well-being that only Well-being can

be your experience because Law of Attraction says, “It must be so.” You

see?

And then somebody says, “Where are you going?” And you say, “Oh, I’m on

my way to a fantastic house, to a delicious relationship, to a perfect

car, to a healthy, thriving body.” And they say, “Well, you’re not there

yet.” And you say, “I didn’t say I was there, I said I’m on my way

there.”

Aren’t you usually more exhilarated on your way somewhere than you are

after you get there? We watch you. You have things you want for years,

and in the desire you are inspired, and then you get it and it thrills

you for about a day. The physical manifestation does not have the power

to thrill you. The Nonphysical Energy that is your birthright must be

flowing through you if you are to experience the joy that is natural to

you.

Another Great Abraham Quote!

As many of you know, I’m a huge fan, and student, of Abraham, the group of entities channeled by Esther Hicks. While I’ve been following Abraham’s teachings about the Law of Attraction for years, most people have become familiar with their work since “The Secret” debuted and featured them.

I’m often receiving quotes from their lectures, and here’s one I thought was so interesting, as they don’t often talk about this type of thing:

A woman asked if her grandfather kissed her cheek when he passed away, as it seemed he did. Is this correct? she asked.

Abe: It is. The most significant thing is that you were in a place of allowing yourself the translation of the energy that was that. And it doesn’t have to happen just at the time of transition — angels are kissing you all over the place all the time!

In other words, you are getting all kinds of nudges and pats on the back and expressions of encouragement and feelings of pride and soothing in times that you are wanting soothing. Those nonphysical energies are fully aware of you. The question is, are you letting it in.

And as you say, oh that’s silly, that could not possibly have been. The wind must have blown my hair across my face…. And we say, so be it. Let it be whatever you are wanting it to be. But there’s a whooole lotta kissin’ going on!

HYNOSIS UPDATE – The Veggie Hater!

If you read the letter I posted a week or so ago, you know that I had a new client ask me if hypnosis could help him with his hatred for vegetables. (Go down a couple of entries and you’ll see that letter.) Well, I met with him yesterday for his hypnosis session, which proved to be very interesting. While we searched and found very valid reasons for his abhorence of the smell, taste and texture of these foods, we also ascertained that he was ready to change this behavior. That’s always a crucial key to the success of any hypnosis – you have to be in agreement, at all levels of your Self, that you want and are ready for the change to take place. Just wanting to change at the conscious mind level will rarely work – as proven by countless smokers and dieters who vow to change their habits, to no avail! Just wanting it doesn’t make it happen.

We used a variety of useful techniques, one of which was to rate the value, or like/dislike, of the vegetable on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most liked. Carrrots, for example, were his most hated, rating a -1. We also compared various foods that he truly loved, really was neutral about, and actively hated.

As you’ll see in his letter, below, that I received today, there was a lovely outcome:

Dear Debbie:

I got home wondering if I had thrown away my money. Talked to my wife… All seemed fine…

Later-Wife and kids were laying down for bed, I went to get my evening drink of ice water, saw the Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing… I knew there were baby carrots in the fridge so I took one, put some ranch dressing on it and took a bite. I did not die. It tasted like a six….. Nothing to crave but nothing to gag. I took the other half upstairs and showed my wife who was leaning back thinking I am gonna spit it at her… I ate it and smiled and left.

How did you know that a food that I could get down without loving it but not hating it would be similar to tea for me? Do you recall that??? Why Tea?

C.

In my response, I reminded him that I’m also psychic! The choice of tea, which wasn’t one of the foods we had discussed, just “came” to me – but as I told him, I’m always guided and impressed by my guides and psychic sense as to what to say and do in hypnosis sessions. It’s a great blend of my education, skill and native talent!

I’m thrilled with the quick proof that this client experienced: that he hadn’t wasted his money, obviously, but more importantly that he could, indeed, change his lifelong behaviors. It’s so important to realize that our beliefs and truths are just habits of thought – they’re not engraved in stone! We can change, with some motivation and action, and create what it is that we truly desire.

My thanks to C. for his courage and for allowing me to use his letters here.

Telling Time in My Readings

Here’s a question I received from a long-time client:

Hi, Debbie. I have a quick question regarding birthday energy. Why is birthdate/energy so important in our lives? I may have asked this before, but I do not remember. You did advise me to get through my birthday energy before starting anything new.

And I believe this includes 6 months after my birthdate, also.

Thanks-

Mary

Hi Mary – what my Guides have taught me is that the astrological energy generated at the anniversary of your birth is kind of like putting a new battery in a toy! It starts things up again and gives you a new lease on life for the year. However, like birth, it can often be a bit raw until things have settled down a bit – I often feel it takes 6 weeks to 3 months for the birthday energy to stabilize.

Then, they say that the quarters of your year are other high points, with the 6 month anniversary being the 2nd big energy boost after the birthday. The 9 month mark always signifies to me “the birth of something new” like a new baby born in 9 months, so in those years that you’ve perhaps been in transition since the birthday (a common thing to have happen) the 9 month point will often be the coming out of transition into the new chapter, which then is sort of cemented into place with the next birthday 3 months later. And, it seems to be better to do things after the birthday or quarter mark, rather than just before – with the battery analogy, you want the new energy after the anniversary rather than the end of the old energy before it.

None of this really has anything to do with astrology per se, just that in my readings it’s worked out this way. (In other words, it’s not based on your sign.) I used to often predict something based on timing, and when I would later find out the birthday, it would almost always be right on the money with that way of telling time. So, finally the readings just got to where we’d look for it on purpose and use that method to help people understand how the cycles often seem to work, and to help me know how the timing of something would fall.

It’s certainly not scientific, and I’ve never really heard of anyone else talking about it the way I do in readings, but it seems to work, and it’s borne out time and time again, so I don’t question it!

Thanks for asking – hope that helps!

New Use for Hypnosis!

I received this intriguing question today via email:

Hi! Although I find most of your services are interesting, I am curious about hypnosis.  It is kind of weird…  I am the world’s fussiest eater.  I HATE vegetables.  I know I would be a healthier person if I could get past the smell and taste of veggies.  (I am a good cook and cook veggies for my wife and kids for dinner…)  I have tried-potatoes smell and taste like spoiled dirt to me, carrots… yuck…  I gag!!!  (I am sure you get the point with all veggies and numerous other foods.)

Life would be much healthier and easier if I could get past my food issues.  Is this something you dabble in with hypnosis???  I really want to crave veggies.

Thanks,
Veggie Hater

Hi – I hate to say it, but I can relate! LOL! I think I’m a little better with veggies than you, but I really hate most green things!

Anyway, yes, this is a perfect application for hypnosis. First, we’d go back into your memory and see if there is any reason why you originally made this decision, back in your childhood, and if there’s any need to keep this belief system today. It’s likely not necessary, so then we’d work to change your belief system, or programming, regarding vegetables.

As with smokers, when we tell their subconscious minds that they are non-smokers, we would tell your sub-

conscious that you are a veggie-lover!

With all hypnosis, it may only take one session to achieve the desired results; every person is different, and depending upon your experience, natural ability, and the topic we will be working on, you may or may not need more than that. However, I never tell you how many times you must come – that’s a choice that I leave up to you, although of course I will give you my recommendation.

Hypnosis is something that a person can learn and become better at doing, and the effects are cumulative, so most people will find that the more hypnosis they experience, the better they will succeed. Therefore, we record the session, so you have that to take home with you to work on it.

I tell everyone that you must be prepared to cooperate with the process – hypnosis will NOT make you do something you don’t want to do – you must be ready and willing to do what’s necessary. However, that being said, hypnosis can make it infinitely easier to understand why you have a certain problem, fix that part, and then reprogram your subconscious with new beliefs and attitudes, as well as implanted ideas and suggestions for new behavior.

You will also learn techniques for self-hypnosis – therefore, practicing with and without the recording will further your progress. If you’ve ever been hypnotized before, or even meditated, it will be faster and easier for you, but even if not, just about everyone can be hypnotized, especially people who are intelligent, and being motivated really helps too.

Question about Bats!

Hi Everyone! Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, it’s been a busy summer! If you haven’t seen my website lately, go check out the clips of me on local TV show “Bridge Street”, where I was a guest twice! It’s definitely increased my business and busy-ness. Be sure to check out the special “Discount Deal” at http://store.9wsyr.com/showproduct.aspx?productid=258 which will save you tons of money when you come to see me!

Here is an excerpt of a letter sent to me by a client:

Hi Debbie! I just left you a message on your phone as well. I had a terrifying night last night. I was awaken at around 3:30 a.m. by a bat (I am VERY afraid of bats) flying around over top of me. I got the guys at a nearby bar to get it out. I have been dealing alot, and more, around issues with my [deceased] father.

Was that a sign? Was it him? Or was it a fluke…

Signed, Bats in the Belfry

Dear Bats: I’m sorry you had that experience! But no, the bat was not your father. I feel that it was likely drawn to you because of the fears, doubts, perhaps anger, etc. that you had been having while thinking and talking about your father. Remember, everything works on vibration, so since a bat represents a fearful, negative thing to you, it’s a match to whatever feelings you’ve been having lately that are like that. You’ll have to decide what they are!

Good for you for getting up and getting help, tho, at some other point you might have cowered in the corner, or with the covers over your head, ’til morning!

I think you’re likely ready to face your feelings around your father, and the “facing up to” the bat represents that, as well.

Hope you all are having a great summer – be sure to visit my website at http://debrajcrossmanpsychicmedium.com and feel free to send me your questions and comments!

Let’s Make a Deal!

I received a letter today from a gentleman who has never had a reading before, and after sending him my information about times and rates, he replied with a proposition. He offered me a reduced rate for a 1/2 hour reading, to be scheduled after work or on a Saturday, and if he was not convinced of my abilities, he’d leave at that point and not owe me the full amount. If, on the other hand, he was convinced, he’d stay and pay for the full hour, at the normal rate.

This was an interesting challenge for me, and one that came in a very timely way; I’d been struggling with my own sense of self-worth and value for some weeks, and as usual, the Universe (that is, my own Mind!) found a way to make me really examine my own opinion of myself!

Here is my reply to him:

Hi – I appreciate your position, and your proposal. I haven’t been asked such a question in a long time! LOL!

However, while I’m sure you must think that the amount you offered would be better than nothing, it’s actually asking me to take a guaranteed cut in pay, since I have people waiting weeks for “prime time” appointments after 5 and on Saturdays, who are more than willing to pay my normal fee. Indeed, I suspect I could charge more, but have chosen to not raise my rates for over 10 years.

Furthermore, since you are admittedly skeptical, and also setting up a “deal”, you will consciously or unconsciously work to win the contest in the end, as we all want to make out well when bargaining. Thus, you’re very likely setting me up to fail, which is not a position I need to be in; I haven’t had to “prove myself” in a long time, as my record and reputation do that for me.

Everyone comes to their first reading skeptical and somewhat fearful, and that’s to be expected. In fact, I prefer a skeptic to someone who is gullible, as I definitely want you to use your own judgment, intuition and wisdom when making decisions or forming opinions about things in your life. If you were to take everything I said, or anything a politician or salesman or doctor or lawyer said, as complete gospel, then you’d likely find yourself “taken for a ride” more often than not. Like other professionals with integrity, I never claim to be 100% accurate; however, the fact is that you are paying for my time, at a rate that I have chosen. It is your perogative to pay it or not, based on your needs and perception of value.

Like a therapist, I have an ability to direct, guide, advise, comfort and teach and have chosen to charge a fee for my time that is commensurate with our area and what I feel is fair. (Interestingly, while living in California some 20 years ago, I charged nearly 3 times what I charge here!) Usually, the benefit derived by my clients is very subjective and hard to quantify; however, since the vast majority of my business is based on repeat customers and word-of-mouth, I feel confident that the perceived benefit is well worth the dollar amount they are paying.

In any case, I feel it would be best for you to seek answers from another reader, as I don’t feel that I’m a good match for your needs. I’d be happy to recommend some in our area if you like.

Thanks for the chance to consider this, it was enlightening for me!
